What's up Grand Lake, Colorado! It was announced on March 22, 2024 that Jay Silence and his band would be performing at this year's Troublesome Festival. A great day of live music planned with some awesome artists taking the stage!

In the festival's words:

Troublesome Fest is a benefit concert that began as a spark of passion in response to the devastating East Troublesome Fire that ripped through our community in 2020. This festival is a
celebration of the strength, resiliency, and survival of this incredible place and the amazing people who live here.

Funds raised at the show go to the mission of Grand County wildfire mitigation, education, and recovery.

"We are very excited to be a part of this line up and especially what this festival represents," Jay Silence spoke about the opportunity the play the fest, "I have very close friends who live in Grand Lake and one longtime friend specifically was directly impacted by the fires. He lost his house and belongings in the fire. This means a lot to me personally to be a part of this line-up and perform for the community of Grand Lake."

Jay is no stranger to wildfires and when it comes to the mountain life and how fires can devastate people and communities, "Groing up in Colorado, my dad worked for the Forest Service and BLM. He worked a lot of wildfires when my brother and I were young and later was involved with many more including the tragic Storm King Mountain Fire near Glenwood Springs, Colorado. It's very sad but living here you kind of have to prepare yourself every year for what could happen."

Jay and his band have played benefit shows in the past for different non-profit organizations and they are looking forward to this one as well! They take the stage on September 7th.
